Overheard in the employee cafeteria:
“I’m so beyond caring. I almost negative care. I like to see the wheels fall off, just to see which way the bus rolls over each time.”
“It sucks that the only interesting thing about our careers right now, well, at least mine, is the spectacular disaster everywhere.”
“Oh God! And we have so many!”
“But what sucks beyond that is that even our disasters are boring.”
“You’re right! The people involved suck the life out of even the most bloody catastrophe. You’ve got wholesale destruction going on, then bam, $senior_executive21 or $senior_executive2 get on the call and ruin the whole thing. Even worse, they decide it needs project management, which can slow the pace of even a natural disaster.”
“Project management is the corn starch of IT. Too much of it makes a solid immobile mass of anything.”
