My tens of readers may remember that I have a few different areas of this site on which I showcase “photography” on this site. While I tried to divide the imagery into easily-digested formats, I have not been entirely succesful. Mostly, I get a lot of email asking where I keep the photos of blah, so allow me to illucidate.
First, I have a photo ‘blog on which I display what I consider to be particularly interesting, “good” and important (to me) photographs. They are organized by the chronology in which they are posted, not in which they were captured. You can see a nearly-complete index of the photos with thumbnails, if you’d like. The latest image from the Visual Narrative shows up in thumbnail form in the right-side navigation area of Halfass.
Second, I sometimes put photographs directly into the posts on The Narrative (which is a pretentious way of saying “the weblog”). That’s what you’re reading now. To see the photos posted in this forum, which probably isn’t worth your time, you’d click on the link that reads “browse entries by CATEGORY” and either scroll down to “Photos and Photography” from the resulting list or click the “List All Topics” link, then select “Photos and Photography” from the resulting list. Or, one could simply click here to see all that bullshit.
Third, I have the online equivalent of a shoebox full of photos, arranged by event, person, place or thing called The Gallery. This is the image dump, where one can view a good portion of the total photographs I’ve taken. These are “snap shots,” and while some come out quite well, they may not be worth sifting through for those with no vested interest (like grandparents or enemies). As a result, one can look at a ton of new photos of Maple hanging out around the house.
Finally, and probably my favorite way to display web photos, is what I call Mosaics, but are not mosaics at all (currently being neglected, like most projects I start). The idea behind Photo Mosaics was to give my tens of readers the visuals to go along with the Narrative in tiny, easily-downloaded small formats. I think this is a great solution for displaying the numerous snapshots I take in any given month, and provides a great pairing of chronology and visuals. But alas, I was hand-coding tables to keep this updated and it fell by the wayside. I hope to revive it soon.
I hope this helps.

This is entirely the wrong place for this but I love the image of “My wife prepares to descend Stone Mountain”. I love the haze, the blurriness, the rose colour. Delightful. Also I love your funny writing. I will be back.
