My Brooklyn buddy chimes in with some words of wisdom for soon-to-be parents:
some people say get all the sleep you can now because you’re not gonna sleep later. i say fuck that. go out and get drunk and do drugs and stay up all night for the next couple of weeks. cuz that’s the real thing you’re gonna miss. sleep you can do at work!
So there you have it.
On a related, but more Southerly note, congratulations to Mister Sawyer and his family on the arrival of Rachel Elizabeth.

You cannot party all night, knowing that you’ll be awoken by a 6am blood-chilling scream alarm that takes 7 hours of intensive maintenance to shut off.
