Some buddies and I started a band back in 1997. We were sitting around my apartment drinking “Coors Premium,” and watching free cable, when we came across a wrestling match. It inspired us to name our band, The Busdrivers, because, well, we’re taking you to school.
We have always had Big Plans. We even released a song back in 2001 that you can buy on Amazon.com, which means we’re fully legit. I had very little to do with said song, due to work pressures, but it rocks regardless.
Now, The Busdrivers have our first-ever show, and played together three weeks ago for the first time since all of the members were in The Mighty Afros, a band of which, well, everybody has been a member and with which we had many disastrous but amazing shows around Atlanta:

That’s right, Friday, February 13th, Beth Kargel and Stomp and Stammers Valentine’s Day Massacre at The Earl, one of Atlanta’s premiere spots to see live music. Other bands on the bill include: the excellent (and Halfass Hosting customer) Silent Kids;Homeroom, a band I’ve not heard; Metroscene; Solome’s Wish; and a bunch of suprises.
All bands will be performing selected songs about tainted love, your cheatin’ heart and why breaking up is hard to do.
See you there!
