Happy New Year!
2003 was a great year for my family. I hope 2004 can be a repeat.
We’re heading to a party to celebrate the New Year. I can’t really think of too many ways to better celebrate than with friends.
When I was younger, I couldn’t begin to imagine what everything was going to be like now. In a way, I feel exactly the same now as did I as a freshman in high school. I know a lot more now, but I still don’t know as much as I think I know, and I know enough to realize that life is never a set progression.
To quote Doug Martsch, it’s “hard to believe, that after all this time, that after all this, I’m still me.” But I am, and I wouldn’t do a thing differently. Sure, there have been many paths left unexplored and many decisions made that altered the course of my life forever. Everyone thinks about the “what if” scenarios. But I can honestly say today, as I hear the first bursts of celebratory gunfire in the distance, that I am thankful and blessed to be here.
