Whew! It’s getting close, at least from a “back end” perspective. As stated previously, I am moving to the PHP scripting language to handle functionality on this site. Whether or not I acutally need PHP or not is another question, but one we won’t be thinking about ever again. Never speak of it again!

I have reorganized the site’s navigation and “chunked” everything up into little modules that can be included via various CMS operations or scripting languages. I have tried to mimimize complexity. We shall see if I succeeded at all.

So here comes the next phase. I need to move the structure of the URLs created by Movable Type and change the file extensions for the archive entries. This is, almost certainly, going to break some stuff. Please hang in there.

After this phase of construction is complete, we will get to the fun part, which is applying CSS to control the layout of the content.
