I’m getting hammered by spam from a friend’s parents’ computer. Obviously, it has been infected by a viral worm, and is sending out to and from everybody in the Outlook Express address book.
What’s really stupid: Outlook Express automatically adds EVERYBODY who has ever sent you e-mail to your address book, so the infected computer ends up spamming all of the fake spam addresses, as well as receiving forged emails from fake spammer addresses.

I got an email from a customer service center of some on-line store that I once bought something from this morning. Obviously due to the worm. But one really doesn’t expect that from a business, you know?

actually, it probably didn’t come from them. the sender in nearly every case is forged. Unless you did some header reading, you won’t know from where the offending message was sent. I’d run a virus scan just to be sure that it didn’t come from your own computer.
