This morning, as I walked from the subway station into my office building, I saw a group of people standing around a television.
In this day and age, such a site makes my stomach flip and my heart sink.
Expecting to see some tragedy unfolding, I stepped up closer to the crowd and squinted to see BellSouth’s CEO delivering a speech.
Whew Corporate tragedy is so much more palatable than the human variety.

Of course, the part you probably didn’t notice was that the speech was laying half of them off

That wouldn’t shock me. My theory always was that the CEO was computer generated, I don’t know anyone who’s ever actually seen him in person.
