I’ve noticed that the only videos they play on MTV/VH1/MuchMusic are either hip hop or pop punk. When did pop punk completely take over the world?

Every time I’m scanning the channels, I see “Arthur” and stop because I’m hoping to see a loveable, alcoholic millionare on his quest for love and laughter. But instead it’s always some stupid cartoon about a rat.
