Now that I take the subway to work, I can start my own version of “in passing” (link).

This is literally what I heard from the ‘do-rag-sporting lady on the MARTA.

(phone rings)
Hello?
What are you sayin?
You threating me?
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
What the fuck you think you doin, threatening me?
I swear by God
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
Come wit’ it!
You threaten me, I’ll fuck you up!
Come wit’ it!

I really don’t think I have enough “Come wit’ it”s there to impress upon you the number of times this lady sad “Come wit’ it!” Everybody was laughing at her as she stepped into the area between cars. She also held the phone like a mic, away from her ear.

Brilliant. Reminds me of quote from local church sign: “Two seconds left, God throw (sic) the ball to Jesus, he’s closer to the cross. He scores, we win! we win!”

Also reminds me of a funny thing I overheard at a Mr. Gatti’s Pizza once when I was in high school: Man talking to relatively attractive woman over pizza says, “well, I guess I’ll just have to butt-swallow him.”

    hmmm… I haven’t had to butt-swallow anybody for a long time.

Funny you mention speaking into the phone like a mic… my friend who rides Marta in from Avondale Estates every day has noticed that a particular demographic group that makes up a majority of MARTA ridership seems to primarially talk into their cell phones like that…
