The only thing I miss about Linux desktops is the little bomb icon labeled “kill.” You could click on the bomb, then click on any window and it would close the window immediately. This was very useful since, despite everyone’s claims about Linux stability, the desktop shit was always taking dumps and leaving ghostly window frames all over your workspace. The kill function was quite nice for cleaning these up.
It was, in physical depiction and figurative definition, the bomb.
I still imagine that I have that function, but it translates into my physical world. And I imagine applying it to some of my annoying coworkers when they come into the cube to tell me about the fact that they are writing a device driver for 4-port ethernet cards or when some awful man is coughing on me on the MARTA.
