Those UN bureaucrats must have a great sense of irony. This is worse than Libya: Iraq will soon be the chair of the UN Conference on Disarmament.

The U.N. seems more and more like the Senate in the Star Wars movies, but without the hovercraft stations.

To be fair, the world needs a forum for marginalized states to condemn the US and Israel. Also, it employs translators and just about anyone else with too poor a work ethic to have a real job or even work for the City of Washington, DC.
