According to this article on Wired News, everybody’s favorite star-studded cult as managed to get the biggest, baddest search engine to remove results which contain links to sites which might infringe upon the church’s copyrights.
Well folks, with spines like that, it looks like it may be the beginning of the very long fade out of Google. I just hope something replaces it the same way that Google toppled Altavista as Mother of All Search Engines (at least that’s the way it happened in my life).
I’m being a little overdramatic, but I hate to hear things like this.

Another example of our insanely litigious society. A pretty strong statement about that cult, when they sue everyone and everything they don’t like. We drove past L. Ron Hubbard Drive when in L.A. recently. We dared not stop for fear of being audited. I saw an interview with Kelly Preston, John Travolta’s wife recently; of Scientology she stated “It’s like, wow.”

I hope you are way off base, sug. I need Google to do my job. I’m serious. As for the Scientology freaks, they aren’t exactly the only fanatics who are lawsuit-happy. Higher-finance through litigation—it is the American Way.
