Interesting thought posed to me by a co-worker who listens to the Art Bell show regularly:
The reason for the wacky weather lately is: the government is manipulating the weather! Some Canadian joker called in to the Art Bell show, and apparently in a convincing, non-E. Augustine sort of way made an articulate argument for this idea. His piece of resistance-The warm weather and lack of snow threatening the Winter Olympics, until the very last minute and Damn! here comes a snowstorm that saves the day and the competitions. I didn’t actually hear the show and anything related to Art Bell should be scrutinized with scientific reasoning, BUT, it has been human nature to attempt to conquer everything else-for example the scientist who are working on isolating the chemical believed to be responsible for love-it does make you think.
