Work…crushing…will….to…exist.

Actually, it’s not that bad. However, I noticed today that I’ve gone from being a person who rarely complained, worked hard and remained calm and happy to somebody who has a fairly bad attitude. I don’t like this development, because I feel fortunate enough to have a good job that the annoyances and seeming indentured slavitude should seem fairly minor inconveniences. But sometimes, it’s about more than money…

Today I had a performance review at work and my supervisor told me that he rarely has to say this to an employee, but he really had to tell me to not work so hard. I tried to explain him that forces are aligned against me to prevent me from having “a life.” He said that I had the power to take control of that situation. Hmmmmm…..

Random note on the plus/minus side, I have begun to work a lot in PHP for upcoming enhancements to halfass.com. This is cool because PHP is cool. It is uncool because PHP is not as cool as JSP. Oh well, I always could hang with any crowd.

Ass in chair problems continue—yesterday was a 15 hour day and I missed the Stone Mountain climb. Today, we have visitors coming in from out of town and, therefore, I will probably miss exercising for the second day in a row.
